CRP7103 - INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAW

The course aims at presenting comprehensive overview of human rights as a field of study, especially its contribution to the development of international law. Human rights must be understood from various points of view in order to comprehend, prevent and resolve diverse injustices in the world. Governmental bodies and treaties that provide, protect and promote human rights will be discussed. Through critical interrogation, students will gain an appreciation and understanding of the depth and variety of human rights, their violations, and the fundamental legal systems that are utilized to protect and improve international, national and local laws.
